Americans gather to honor fallen service members on Memorial Day

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Today's a holiday over here in the United States, which means every single one of us is outdoors cooking a slab of meat on a fire. And that's basically it.

Jason asked:

What is the deal with the Overtirned Kor'kron caravans in the Barrens.. I see multiple warnings in chat about overturned caravans, but very seldom do they show up on my map. Maybe 1 out of ten will appear. Is this a known glitch Blizzard is working on, or is it by design?

I've read that the caravans only show up on your map if you're in very close proximity to it already. Caravans that are outside of your immediate range of sight won't be marked on your map. I don't know if that's actually true, but it seems reasonable.

reenchanted asked:

I've played on-and-off since BC, but something still confuses me - hit chance on a raid boss. I understand (if I recall correctly and they haven't changed anything) that heroic dungeon bosses are treated as +2 levels when determining hit chance and raid bosses as +3, but is that +3 to the current max level or your current level? Stupid as it would be to try (I'm just speculating), would a level 80 hit-capped character (for level 80 content) have the same hit chance against a level 93 as 83? Could you help me break this down?

Bosses with a Skull as their level are always treated as 3 levels higher than you for hit chance. If you're level 90, a raid boss from level 80 content will be considered level 93 for the purpose of hit/miss calculation. As far as I know, heroic dungeons don't work any differently. If they're labeled with a specific level, they are that level and will always be that level. If they have a skull, they'll be 3 levels higher than you, now and always.

@Ottahz asked:

Is it just me or is the new Elite buff on the Beasts of Fable making those fights really unfun now?

I haven't had a chance to fight those guys since the patch, but I've been hearing a lot of griping about the end-game pet battles since patch 5.3. Those fights can all be pretty brutal and players were making heavy use of the "cheese" strategies to beat them easily. Most of those overpowered pets players were using received a nerf in the latest patch(es). Time will tell whether those endgame battles really are too difficult, or if players simply grew too accustomed to cheesing them.

@nieknl asked:

Why seem the nightelves to stand still for a few expansions? Onlu fighting and loosing ground. Nothing else :(

The Alliance is a figment of your imagination. Obviously.
